The jury had been clearly instructed by the judge to NOT have any contact with parties or witnesses involved in the case. Jacob Jock, the juror, almost immediately sent a friend request to the defendent in the case via a social media site. Not only was he dismissed from the jury, but was later charged with contempt of court and served 3 days in jail in addition to having to pay his prosecution fees.
