The Hilldale Facility located in the Tampa area recently had their license revoked. This facility is a nursing home that assists adults who suffer from developmental disabilities. Those with developmental disabilities often are unable to let people know when they are abused, therefore it is up to the families of those living in the nursing home to keep a close eye on their loved ones and document all suspicious behavior.
Loved ones of those abused at the Hilldale Facility are picketing! They are picketing because even though the nursing home has a pattern of abuse going back several years, the facility is still open and operating.
There have been two attempts so far by Healthcare regulators to prevent the facility from remaining open, but so far the court is denying the requests.
