On Tuesday, January 31, 2012, a Sarasota motorcycle accident occurred on Fruitville Road. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the Tuesday night motorcycle accident produced serious injuries for the male motorcyclist involved.

The motorcycle crash occurred around 6:50 p.m. on Fruitville Road, just west of Interstate 75. The Sarasota Herald-Tribune reported that a female driver from Largo was in the right lane traveling eastbound on Fruitville Road, behind two male motorcyclists from Iowa. Unfortunately, the driver did not see that the motorcyclists stopped side by side due to slowing traffic and crashed into one of the motorcycles.

The motorcycle that was hit was driven by Danny Lee Burch, a 60-year-old motorcyclist of Ankeny, Iowa. The driver who hit Mr. Burch’s bike was a 45-year-old female driver of an Acura from Largo. After this impact, Mr. Burch’s motorcycle hit the other motorcycle driven by 48-year-old Wayne Andrew Patterson, of Runnells, Iowa.

Burch suffered serious injuries in this Sarasota motorcycle crash and was transported by paramedics to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton. The other people involved in this accident have not reported any injuries, and there is no word on the updated condition of Mr. Burch at this time.

The Florida Highway Patrol cited Raisa D. Ross, the driver, of Largo, with careless driving following this serious motorcycle accident on Fruitville Road.

Sarasota accident attorneys at Mallard Perez would like to wish Danny Lee Burch strength for healing and hope that he has a complete and speedy recovery following this Florida motorcycle accident.
