In June, a deadly Tampa truck accident claimed the life of a motorcyclist. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the deadly accident occurred at the intersection of 50th Street and 20th Avenue.

Truck driver Jose Cedeno, 53, of Lakeland, was making a wide right turn north onto 50th Street from 20th Avenue when a motorcycle was approaching north on 50th Street at the same time. According to reports, Cedeno did not see the motorcyclist and continued making the turn.

Tyler Pangrazio-Abron, 19, of Ruskin, was traveling north on 50th Street on his 2009 Yamaha motorcycle and attempted to avoid the crash; however, he ended up skidding underneath the truck. Sadly, the large truck ran over the motorcyclist, causing him critical injuries. Pangrazio-Abron was transported to Tampa General Hospital for medical treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries and died.

Later, on July 22, 2013, another semi truck was involved in a fatal Tampa trucking accident on Causeway Boulevard and 86th Street. This crash sadly left a 19-year-old dead.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 19-year-old Waynenecia Shacole Tillman was traveling east on Causeway Boulevard in her 2003 Pontiac Grand Am when she slowed down. Troopers said she may have even come to a stop for unknown reasons. Unfortunately, a semi truck was approaching the car from behind and did not see that Tillman’s car had slowed or stopped.

The semi rear-ended the Pontiac and ended up dragging the car several yards before coming to a rest. Truck driver 48-year-old Louis Albert Hartung was not injured; however, Tillman suffered fatal injuries. The crash is still being investigated.
