Insurance adjusters have been trained to save their company money after a car accident. This is why they will minimize the seriousness of soft tissue injuries to avoid paying the money victims deserve. They will go to great lengths to try and make you feel like your soft tissue injury isn’t a serious injury. Unfortunately, they will often try and deny your soft tissue injury claim, delay payment, or undervalue your claim whether you have suffered any of the following injuries:

  • Abrasions, lacerations, and contusions
  • Whiplash and neck pain
  • Back injury, such as ligament damage or lower back strain
  • Torn muscles, ligaments and tendons
  • Damage to arteries and veins
  • Nerve damage
  • Knee injury, such as MCL or ACL tear
  • Torn rotator cuff or dislocated shoulder
  • Tendonitis

Insurance companies don’t like paying out on soft tissue injury claims—even if they are legitimate claims. Sometimes soft tissue injuries are very real and very serious injuries that need to be compensated. For example, pinched nerves can result in permanent nerve damage. Damaged ligaments, tendons or muscles may require surgery and physical therapy. For this reason, it is important to have a skilled lawyer on your side who understands that a soft tissue injury may develop into a debilitating injury.

If the insurance company doesn’t consider your ongoing medical treatment when making you a settlement offer or if they deny your claim entirely, you should seek the counsel of a skilled litigator who can help you obtain the fair and just compensation you deserve.
