Crashes involving large tractor trailers and smaller passenger vehicles are the reason many motorists fear driving next to semi trucks. Unfortunately, trucking accidents in Florida are a reality and cause innocent motorists serious injuries and lifelong problems. This is exactly what happened last month on Interstate 75 in Hillsborough County.

Eleven vehicles, including a large commercial truck, were involved in a multi-vehicle Brandon truck accident that took place on August 3, 2013. According to the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, seven people were injured and transported to area hospitals for medical treatment. Three of those injured sustained critical injuries in the collision.

This semi truck crash in Brandon was responsible for trapping one person in his car for hours, as his vehicle was wedged between a concrete guard rail and the truck.  Because the vehicle was severely mangled, this victim had to be extracted from his car and airlifted to a trauma center.

Although there were no fatalities in this particular wreck, several people suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash. Unfortunately, injuries sustained in trucking accidents can cause lifelong nerve injuries, disabilities, pain, mental trauma, and other damages.

Sadly, truck accidents in Florida are serious—producing critical injuries, even fatal. If you or a loved one suffered injuries in a truck crash due to another driver’s negligence, you have rights to a financial recovery for your pain and suffering, injuries, lost income, and other damages.
