There are a number of other school officials being charged in connection with the investigation of Manatee High School Assistant Football Coach Rod Frazier. Police have recommended that Rod Frazier be charged with multiple counts of battery after a lengthy investigation.

The Manatee County Police Department is recommending that Manatee High School Assistant Principals Gregg Faller and Matthew Kane also be charged with crimes in connection with Mr. Frazier.

Sources close to the investigation say that the Assistant Superintendent Bob Gagnon could be charged with failing to report allegations of child abuse and providing false information to law enforcement.

After police met with the State Attorney’s office it was recommended that Rod Frazier, Gregg Faller, Matthew Kane, Bob Gagnon, and former Manatee district investigator Debra Horne be charged with a total of 17 different charges ranging from misdemeanors to felonies.

Although these are strong allegations, Superintendent Rick Mills said he would not suspend employees implicated by police unless more formal charges emerge. He also said that he was “not pleased with what he is seeing in terms of due process investigations.”
