According to Florida Highway Patrol, an auto accident occurring just before the intersection of Clark and Proctor in Sarasota County injured at least one person.
According to witnesses, there were two cars involved, a four- door sedan and a mini-van. The mini-van was said to have flipped and rolled over after the collision occurred.
There were four people in the mini-van, all injured. One person was taken by helicopter to Blake Medical Center, and the other three were taken by ambulance to Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
The four-door sedan only had a driver and one passenger in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Neither of them required immediate medical attention.
Witnesses have stated that this is a very dangerous intersection as there isn’t a traffic light to control the flow of traffic.
